Anyone who has rode for years has had a clutch or brake cable break and then the local parts store was closed or didn’t have it in stock so now you’re waiting a couple days for a new cable…or you could use this old school trick I was taught by my cousin who’s probably the best dirtbike mechanic I’ve ever met. This is obviously a temporary fix until you can get a new cable but if it keeps you riding for the day or weekend it’s totally worth it. This is a friends fiddy S/O to my bro Lance for hooking me up with a mini to ride lately, in exchange I’ve been doing a little wrenching on it. The brakes hardly worked and the throttle cable was completely wrong size but I found one closer in my spare parts but still not right, installed it anyway. And I rigged the handbrake cable with a cable clamp LOL but it works much better than before considering some of the brake parts weren’t even installed right when I picked the bike up. I thought it was time I dropped some raw footage from the street ride in Cinci for the lost $60 sesh. I was pretty stoked to wheelie on the highway for the first time with the pitbike and I was keeping up with the pack on big bikes lol.
