I thought it was about time I finally released the raw footy from 2015 DudeDate. I have to give special thanks for my buddy GoPro Joe for some of these clips since he helped me out that year. There’s lots of unseen footage in this vid from the 2nd largest year of the world’s largest pitbike street ride. You never know what you might catch while riding with your GoPro! Rider Tommy Faucette catches the exact moments his rear shock exploded from underneath the seat of his pit bike and nearly misses injury as it ricochets off his helmet and bike. All the while he manages to maintain control and pull to the side with no rear suspension. Huge thanks to Tommy for submitting this clip, this was an epic moment of Dude Date 2015 and I’m glad we can share it with everyone!

Normally I’d be using a monopod to distance myself from riders a bit and it makes me feel a little safer. Of course I decided to try a few shots without the monopod and then this happens haha, I guess I’ll take the opportunity to learn from a mistake on this one. Stay safe out there dudes, filming action sports comes with risks!
